30 year Reunion
For some, it started 30 years ago. Nonetheless, all of us made lasting friendships with our participation in the F-117 Program. It is time to renew those “life-long” friendships and the 30 Year F-117 Stealth Fighter Association Reunion is the perfect opportunity. It will be held at the Crown Plaza in San Diego, June 22-24, 2012. The exceptional Southern California weather makes this the perfect location for activities associated with a summer time vacation. Start planning now for the reunion; come early; stay longer; and take advantage of the opportunity to reacquaint with many of your friends from the past.
This is the first reunion in which we have enlisted the assistance of a professional reunion planning team - Military Reunion Planners (MRP), all designed to give you and your family the opportunity to experience a great reunion weekend and some of the city’s top attractions. They have arranged for numerous local activities/tours which are offered as optional activities.
The registration fees will go to MRP for their services. As a reminder, SFA Membership Dues come up for renewal in advance of each Reunion and are good for five (5) years. We have provided for renewal with the registration below.
San Diego will provide ample opportunities to relax and enjoy time with your family and friends in an ideal setting. Initial survey results indicate a large turnout – don’t miss it!

F-117 STEALTH FIGHTER ASSOCIATION 2012 REUNION

Welcome to San Diego
Whether it’s your first or tenth trip to San Diego, you will find plenty of new and exciting attractions to keep you busy. Of course, one thing stays the same . . . the near-perfect weather that beckons you! Mother Nature granted the area white-sand beaches, temperatures that average 75 degrees year-round, the stark beauty of the desert, cool ocean breezes, and majestic mountains. Combine these natural attributes, and you’ve got the epitome of a reunion paradise.
Hotel Information
The reunion officially begins on Thursday, June 22nd and ends on Sunday, June 24th. You will be staying at the full service Crowne Plaza San Diego, located at 2270 Hotel Circle North, San Diego, CA 92108. The Crowne Plaza is located close to many of the city’s top attractions, and the hotel offers complimentary shuttle service to Old Town and the Fashion Valley Mall.
The room rate is $109.00 plus tax per night based on single or double occupancy. The rate includes complimentary breakfast buffet served daily in the hotel restaurant. For those of you who choose to arrive early or stay late, the same room rate is available three days before and three days after the official reunion dates, based on availability. Please make your hotel reservations NOW by calling the hotel directly at 888-233-9527 between 9-4 pm PST and ask for “in-house” reservations. Mention that you are with the F-117 S.F.A. to assure you are associated with your group.
You may also make your reservations on line, just click HERE. You may request specific room types when you call to make your reservations (handicap-accessible room, etc.). The hotel check-in time is 4:00 p.m. Please, don’t expect to get into your room before then. Make your reservations today; you can cancel up to 24 hours prior to arrival without penalty. They will ask you for a deposit or credit card number to guarantee your room reservation. The hotel is holding rooms until they sell out or May 11, 2012, whichever comes first. Don’t delay on this – book your hotel room now!
Transportation and Directions
The closest airport is San Diego International (SAN). Cloud 9 Shuttle Cloud 9 Shuttle offers shuttle service from the airport to the Crowne Plaza hotel, special discounted rates have been arranged for your reunion. You can save $3 per person one way, or $6 round trip, advance reservations are required. Cloud 9 Shuttle can be reached at 800-974-8885, or on the Internet at www.cloud9shuttle.com. Be sure to use the group code 7J379 in order to get the discount. For those of you driving to the reunion, special discounted self parking is available for $2-per-day for the duration of the reunion.
Group Tour Events
Organized group events will give you the opportunity to experience some of the city’s top attractions. There will be the opportunity to visit the USS Midway, take a harbor cruise, spend the day at the famous San Diego Zoo, or do some shopping at the picturesque Seaport Village. San Diego is the perfect location for the F-117 Stealth Fighter Association Reunion and will provide many opportunities to relax and enjoy time with your family and friends in an ideal setting.
